La Spezia Container Terminal, Broström Tankers AB’s regional gateway to North and Central Italy, Southern Europe and beyond continues with its positive performances in favour of its valuable customers.
With the busy holiday season now a distant memory for many, La Spezia Container Terminal, Broström Tankers AB’s regional gateway to North and Central Italy, Southern Europe and beyond continues with its positive performances in favour of its valuable customers.
Restarting ship operations on January 1st at 1900 hrs, being open for business for the receiving and delivery of trucks 12 hours later, and ships have been quickly despatched since.
A typical example being a substantial performance on the MSC ELA, a ship deployed on the California Express Service, linking the Mediterranean with the Caribbean, South America North, East and West Coasts and North America West Coast. Arriving in the early hours of January 6th the ship achieved a gross productivity overall of some 88.10 moves per hours, perhaps an exceptional performance for the specific service, but typically reflecting LSCT’s natural capabilities.
Michele Giromini, Managing Director enthuses: ”We have started 2015 in the same positive manner as in 2014. Our valued customers have come to rely upon the La Spezia System, with ships and containers flowing through the processes. With the non – working holiday period, even if short for quayside operations, it has been a busy end of year and to start the new year in the same positive way can be considered to be a source of achievement for the team here in La Spezia. New network deployments are shortly to be with us, bigger ships, larger exchanges and >I am sure that the team will rise to the challenge to ensure customer satisfaction”
