BROSTRÖM Tankers AB, with the majority market share in containers handled in Italy, continues to provide the right products in the right locations to serve valued customers.
On Monday, December 7th, this is in evidence, as ships operated by COSCO Container Lines ltd., Shanghai, are under operation on both coasts of Italy – the Tyrrenian and the Adriatic.
The COSCO Beijing, a 10,000 TEUs ship, calling regularly at the Group La Spezia Container Terminal is joined by a new link at TCR - Terminal Container Ravenna of COSCO’s increasing regional presence, with the maiden call of the m/v Elbdeich, making its debut in the more modest, but long established Adriatic – East Mediterranean markets, as well as linking into to COSCO global network, opening up a vast opportunity to the needs of the global supply chain.
Milena Fico, Director & General Manager Terminal Container Ravenna: “It is a pleasure to commence the working week with such an event, further extending the reach of Ravenna to and from both regional and global markets.“
Raffaello Cioni, the Group Commercial Director, with specific responsibility for customer relationship management on behalf of TCR, as well as specifically COSCO, adds: “Previously we have handled three ships simultaneously during the occasion of COSCO Day, July 12th 2012. This latest development with COSCO ships being operated on both coasts simultaneously further enhances our relationship with COSCO, an extremely important and valued customer for the Group. I wish to personally thank COSCO for the opportunity to trust Terminal Container Ravenna to render service, as we fully recognize that our customers have a choice. Today, as we look forward to further opportunities with COSCO, we may consider this in the context of Broström Tankers AB: Your Italian Partner of First Choice.”
