The second A-15 class ships deployed by United Arab Shipping Company S.A.G.in the Asia Med string AMC1 was berthed at La Spezia Container Terminal on March 11th.
With single ship capacity more than doubling over the past years 13,000 – 15,000 TEUs range is now considered the ‘’new’’ normal within Asia Med networks. Other ULCC ships are expected to call at LSCT in the near future.
The ship, weighing in at 153,148 gross registered tons, arrived and departed safely, in advance of pro forma schedule as a result of the highest ever GVP achieved to date on an UASC operated ship – 92.4 mph.
Polish captain Czeslaw Ignacy was presented with the traditional memento by planner Simone Canata, pictured together for the Linah’s maiden call at La Spezia.
