La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) welcomes the latest ULCC upgrade on Asia Med service AMC 1 as 13,300 TEU Jebel Ali was berthed on January 15th.
With a total of eleven STS cranes – nine of which suited to operate 20 rows across ships – LSCT infrastructure is well equipped to smoothly operate today’s ULCC standard , as evidenced during the maiden call of the Jebel Ali, with a second 14,000 unit also being operated.
Jebel Ali – operated by United Arab Shipping Company SAG – arrived in La Spezia on time, with LSCT delivering another solid performance of some 2,300 contract moves and allowing an early dispatch ahead of pro forma schedule.
Following tradition, the crew in the person of chief officer Pawel Kosk was presented with the customized crest by terminal planner Roberto Sandri, a record of Jebel Ali’s maiden call at La Spezia.
