The MSC Manya, which is 235mt long and capable of carrying over 2.700 containers, touched the quay of Terminal Container Ravenna on December 5th.
Terminal Container Ravenna (TCR), participated by Sapir and Contship Italia, was pleased to welcome the MSC Maya – a ship of considerable size TCR standards. The vessel was introduced in MSC’s service “C”, that connects Ravenna with some of the main ports in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Upon arrival, the vessel was welcomed by Le Navi Maritime Agency representative Giuseppe Gargiulo, and by TCR President Giannantonio Mingozzi and Federico Masotti from the Operations Dept.
Giannantonio Mingozzi, who boarded the ship to greet Capt. Mr Garg Dhruva and hand him the maiden crest, underlined that the maiden call can act as a forerunner for future ships of the same – or even greater – size and capacity, considering the fact that the terminal is also undergoing dredging procedures.
