TCR: un porto speciale a supporto della supply chain globale

TCR Ravenna continues to develop high value solutions in providing a wide range of value-added services, demonstrating the benefits to supply chains in routing cargo via Broström Tankers AB’s Adriatic gateway.

The port of Ravenna is well experienced in the handling of steel products – over the years TCR has deployed specialist cargo handling techniques, the latest example of which is in the handling of high value steel rolls imported from China, destined for reprocessing by Italy’s bespoke steel manufacturing industry.

Being presented with a purpose built container that ensures a safe and secure transportation for the complete ocean voyage, TCR came up with its own bespoke solution at the terminal in devanning each steel roll and subsequently reloading to trucks to inland locations for further processing into finished goods.

In the market today” – said Alessandro Battolini (TCR Operations Manager) – “customers continue to require the personal “touch”, even more so for high end value requirements. With ad hoc handling solutions and the experience of the TCR team" - continues Alessandro- "the solutions ticked all of the boxes, safe and free from damage handling, speed of handling, cost effective, reliable.“

Milena Fico (TCR General Manager) adds: ”TCR remain at the full disposal of all our customers. We are here to serve and deliver solutions, resulting in customer satisfaction. The terminal is fully equipped to provide a comprehensive range of cargo handling services.“
