A few days only have passed since the beginning of New Year and Terminal Container Ravenna (TCR), Contship Italia Adriatic gateway, celebrates the first maiden call of 2016.
In the morning of Wednesday 13th TCR welcomed the first call of m/v MSC Shirley, recently deployed by MSC in its Adriatic D Service, connecting weekly Ravenna to Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey.
The ship, with a L.O.A. of 188 meters and a nominal capacity of 1.028 TEUs, was berthed immediately upon her arrival in Ravenna, promptly starting the loading and discharging operations, completed in the early afternoon of the same day.
Following a consolidated tradition, while discharging and loading operations were proceeding as scheduled, a ceremony for the maiden call was held on board the ship, with Ettore Stanganelli, (TCR Ship Planner) presenting a customized crest to the Ship Master Capt. Igor Ruchko.
