Less than a year since its official inauguration, Rail Hub Milano (RHM) continues to busy itself in support of global supply chains – investments continue, new train services are established, final truck delivery miles are growing. Interest in RHM is increasing, as recently evidenced by the visit of two delegations from DHL Global Forwarding, div. Freight on March 2nd, 4th, respectively.
Over the two days DHL Freight Customer Service and sales force were able to witness, hands on the operational efficiency of RHM’s “one stop shop” linking multiple domestic and international markets using multi-modal logistical services.
Following a brief presentation, DHL representatives were keen to develop a sense of how its own global products can further evolve, with an open exchange during Q&A sessions.
Roger Ehrbar, head of Flotta & DCC commented: “Field visits are an essential part of our own product development. It is vital that customer service and sales personnel understand exactly what is happening in the logistics flow, improving knowledge, establishing relationships with reliable partners. In this respect, I can say that the visit ticked all of the boxes and we take home a number of thoughts about our needs”.
