With the berthing of the ULCC MSC Capella at La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) on February 28th and at Medcenter Container Terminal (MCT) on March 2nd, the breakthrough of the new Asia-Med networks at Group terminals continues, following the deployment of the two Med-US loops and now the arrival of a second Asia-Med string.
And maiden voyages on the 2M networks are not over yet for Contship Italia terminals.
Satisfaction at Group level was expressed, amongst others, by CSI Commercial Director Michael Cashman who highlights how “..the magnitude of the networks deployed is evolving, both in scope and with ships in the range of the 14,000 TEUs becoming the benchmark along Asia-Med strings, a result of our customers’ continuous strive for efficiency. As formerly expressed in the words of our President Cecilia Battistello, both LSCT and MCT are well at ease with berthing this new standard, with the mega hub of Gioia Tauro capable of accommodating ships well beyond the 14,000 TEUs class and with LSCT’s two new 23 rows STSs now approaching on the horizon. We provide effective solutions to match our valued customers’ needs while our customers such as 2M partners reward our investments and commitments with their trust, strengthening our solid commercial relationship further with the deployment of new networks at our terminals.”
