Appropriately, during Milan fashion week, an elegant and beautiful lady made a visit to Contship Italia’s La Spezia Container Terminal.
Her name was Milano Bridge and she made her maiden call last week at LSCT during the snow and cold temperatures, but that didn’t stop LSCT working her on arrival. Built this year by the Imabari Shipbuilding Co, in Hiroshima, Japan she was delivered to “K” Line in January and immediately deployed into the MD2 service operated by THE Alliance, one of four weekly links between LSCT and the Far East.
Capable of carrying up to 13,900 TEU, she weighs in at 150,706 GRT and measures 365m in length and 51m in width. She is one of six (out of eight) ‘M’ class ships built for the Japanese carrier, previously LSCT had welcomed her sisters Munchen Bridge, Millau Bridge, Manchester Bridge and Manhattan Bridge.
Yet again La Spezia Container Terminal is providing an integrated product for the Italian and global supply chain - check the Contship Connectivity Tool to discover the advantages of La Spezia Container Terminal in terms of connectivity of all the Maritime and intermodal services available at the terminal:
