On May 15th and 16th, LSCT opened its gates to La Spezia’s citizens during the Port Days event. The Port Days project took place all across Italy from May 15th to 21st as an initiative of Assoporti to bring together ports and local communities.
La Spezia Container Terminal and the Port Authority organized a special bus expedition to visit LSCT for a dedicated Porto Lab edition. The bus stop was positioned in the center of the city and Porto Lab Tutors were present at the stop to give information on the history of the port and its main activities to all those waiting to jump on the next ride.
200 people attended the event, escorted by a Port Authority Representative and Porto Lab tutors during the event. Thanks to the Porto Lab project (which is now at its 14th edition) almost 6000 students visited the La Spezia Container Terminal, and the last decade there have been numerous occasions in which the Group opened the doors of the port to local communities.
