Maiden call of the m/v UASC Bubiyan at LSCT, deployed in the IMEX service.
In the morning of May 13 2017 La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) welcomed the latest of its maiden calls as the 6,882 TEU m/v UASC Bubiyan was moored alongside Fornelli West.
Built in 2015 and named after the largest island along the Kuwaiti coast, the ship is deployed by United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) in the IMEX, a service connecting La Spezia directly to the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent on a weekly basis.
Prior to completion of operations, LSCT planner Gabriele Mottini boarded m/v UASC Bubiyan to present captain Oleksandr Melnykov and his crew with the customized crest, a memento of the ship’s maiden call in La Spezia.
M/v UASC Bubiyan sailed at dusk the same day of arrival.
