A full week for LSCT as four maiden calls arrived at La Spezia Container Terminal in less than seven days.
M/v MSC Mia Summer – LOA 216 meters and 1,500 TEUs in nominal capacity – was the first , on Saturday November 7th. Berthed at Fornelli West, the ship is deployed by Mediterranean Shipping Co SA on the intra-Med Morocco Express service.
The following day, m/v Hanjin Korea – LOA 350 meters and 10,000 TEUs – moored alongside Fornelli East. The ULCC is deployed by Hanjin Shipping Co Ltd in the Asia-Med string Pacific Med Pendulum 1 (PM1).
On Wednesday 11th, the 6,300 TEUs m/v Sealand Michigan. A Post Panamax Plus, the ship is deployed by Maersk Line AS in the Med-US string TA6/MedGulf.
To complete, in the early hours of Thursday 12th, M/v Kalliopi R.C. – LOA 294 meters and 4,639 TEUs in nominal capacity – deployed by Mediterranean Shipping Co SA in the Australia Express service.
LSCT planners Sandri Roberto and Andrea Galli took care of welcoming the ‘new arrivals’ by hosting the traditional crest delivery ceremonies on board the ships.
