Starting from May 6th the authorities responsible for clearing the goods arriving and leaving the port of Ravenna will benefit from a single window control area inside the Terminal Container Ravenna, with adequate structures and offices.
The logistics sector has always been characterized by rapid renewal and the Terminal Container Ravenna proves to be in step with change and ready for important structural innovations.
Starting from May 6th the authorities responsible for clearing goods arriving and leaving the port such as PIF (border inspection posts), USMAF (air and maritime border health office) and the plant health office will have a single window control area inside the Terminal Container Ravenna, with structures and offices suitable for control activities.
The important project started last year, from the collaboration between TCR, the Port Authority of Ravenna, the Ministry of Health and the Emilia Romagna Region.
All the various administrations in charge of the controls will have the opportunity to use the new areas and new structures placed within the same working context. It will be possible to carry out controls on the quality and condition of the goods in a single area of the Terminal: from hygienic and sanitary checks, to sample collection, to all activities aimed at ensuring the maximum degree of safety for food products and other goods arrived at the port.
The structure is certified at European level and will offer many competitive and qualitative advantages: the greater collaboration between the control bodies will guarantee complete assistance to the goods, optimizing inspection times and ensuring a rapid distribution of products on the markets of reference.
This synergy between the Terminal Container Ravenna and the local competent authorities constitutes a further step towards the unification of physical spaces between customs, health services and public safety authorities, an important step aimed at speeding checks with new technological and organizational solutions.
TCR therefore becomes a 'single window', confirming its vocation as a 'one stop solution' Terminal, which guarantees quality goods for a better and faster distribution of products on European and international markets.
