Parzialmente ripristinata la connettività ferroviaria internazionale del Rail Hub Milano

Following the unfortunate incident at Pioltello, Hannibal can now advise that RFI (owner of the Italian rail network) has just given the green light to partially recommence rail operations in Melzo (MI).

International connectivity across the Alps was restored at the end of last week and our connections between Melzo-Frenkendorf and Melzo-Rotterdam routes are now back to normal frequency, with effect from today, Monday 12-Feb. We are further advised that normal operations on the southbound rail services between Melzo-La Spezia and Melzo-Genoa will only be restored from week 9 (26-Feb) - we shall keep you advised should this change.

During these challenges times, Hannibal is planning to operate a number of alternative routings, to provide our customers with solutions to stay connected between the ports of La Spezia and Genoa and our Rail Hub Milano (RHM) in Melzo, via Padua and Rivalta Scrivia, in order to continue to provide rail links between La Spezia and Genoa and the international rail hubs in Switzerland and Europe.
