The plant is equipped with a recycling line that - thanks to the introduction of the RAP (Recycled Asphalt Pavement) – will allow a recovery 40% of materials that will be replaced. Maximum production capacity is 260 t / h.
The Marini - Fayat group is the leading production company of bituminous conglomerates. The collaboration was possible because TCR counts among its customers the Grimaldi maritime line, which operates with ro-ro ships that are capable of carrying bulky project cargo. The embarkation of this specific plant, which is made up of various machinery and components and accessories, took place with the use of different container boxes, open tops and roll trailers - a solution that allows the transport of heavy and large pieces of equipment.
Loading and positioning of the components in the containers and roll trailers was carried out within the Terminal premises, as the terminal includes in the client offering a filling / emptying warehouse with a sheltered area (about 3,000 m2) and an adjacent yard of about 20,000 m2.
The Operational Manager Ing. Masotti, who supervised and coordinated the operations together with the Vessel Operating Team of TCR, underlines: "We are proud to have had the possibility to manage the embarkation of this important shipment inside our Terminal. Surely, the operational management of project cargo poses a few hidden dangers and requires, amongst other things, meticulous attention and excellent ability in the movement phase of the various units; however, the experience gained by all the TCR staff on these activities over the last few years has allowed us to guarantee quality standards, in full compliance with the highest safety conditions."
