ULCC ship calls continue at La Spezia as the terminal welcomes the maiden call of the 9,400 TEUs MSC Ajaccio.
Wednesday September 30th saw La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) welcome the latest maiden call by a ULCC ship reflecting the on-going trend. The m/v MSC Ajaccio, at 299 meters in length and 9,400 TEUs in capacity –also sister ships MSC Arbatax, MSC Amalfi and MSC Algeciras –was built in 2013 by Shanghai Jiangnan-Changxing Shipbuilding as part of “A” series of ships named after some of the most ancient ports in the Mediterranean. Berthed alongside Fornelli East berth, m/v MSC Ajaccio completed operations in the morning of October 1st, continuing her journey.
