On Saturday February 14th 2015 La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) welcomed the maiden call of the m/v SCT Zurich, deployed by Mediterranean Shipping Company SA on the Falcon, a service linking Australia, the Far East and the Indian subcontinent to the Mediterranean.
The ship (LOA 294.10 metres and 5,060 TEUs in nominal capacity) was berthed along Fornelli West, with LSCT performing a total of 1,616 container moves and 48 hatch cover moves. LSCT planner Antonio Soldani – pictured below – took care of presenting Captain Alexander Babiy and his crew with the customized crest. M/v SCT Zurich sailed from La Spezia the following day.
