Continua a crescere il network RHM

Following the recent introduction of a sixth train, increasing the frequency from Melzo to Padua, the rail network available from Rail Hub Milano (RHM) continues to develop further with the announcement of a new Melzo-Trieste connection as well as two additional weekly trains on the Melzo-Bari route.

The new service between Trieste and Melzo will allow cargo moving on the East-West corridor to benefit from the domestic and international intermodal-connectivity at RHM, creating for example new connection opportunities to/from Budapest. Furthermore, both services will have the capability to accommodate P400 trailers.

The Melzo-Bari service will see an increase in frequency from three to five weekly connections, reducing transit times  to Rotterdam, Frenkendorf, Duisburg and other destinations in Northern and Central Europe (via RHM, Melzo) and southbound, to the “Interporto Regionale della Puglia” and Bari, the Italian gateway for Greece, Albania and Montenegro.

Paolo Califano, International Sales Manager, RHM said “These have been busy times for Rail Hub Milano, we recently completed the installation of two new RMG cranes, at our new 100,000m2 yard and we are working hard to offer increased frequencies and opening new connections so that our customers can have the opportunity to further grow their networks. RHM’s strategic positioning, intermodal suitability and continental connectivity, supported by rail services to Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, constitute the core of our value proposition for the global supply chain. Together with the operational flexibility of our team and the new cranes, part of a €40 million investment, these elements will allow us to position ourselves effectively in the market.”
