On the evening of 08-April, the ship arrived at La Spezia Container Terminal, thereby starting the roll-call of vessels that will make their maiden-call at the Contship facility, following the change in alliance membership from the first of the month.
Built in 2011 and named after the suspension bridge in Norway, 163km south-west of Oslo she has a capacity of over 4,500 TEUs and is deployed in THE Alliance’s weekly AL6 service, linking La Spezia with the United States east coast, one of four weekly USA services calling La Spezia.
Upon completion of cargo operations and prior to departing on time, Capt. S.K. Sadanand was presented with a plaque to commemorate the inaugural call of his ship.
