Melzo – Munich: a new intermodal service will extend RHM network.

From Thursday, September 6th, a new service operated by Kombiverkehr headed to Riem Terminal in Munich will depart from Contship’s Rail Hub in Milan

A new rail connection will link Riem Terminal in Munich with Contship’s Rail Hub in Milano operated by Contship. The connection will start on Thursday September 6th and will be managed by the German transport company Kombiverkehr along with MII.

The new trade line will allow transport of P400 semi-trailers and unitized cargos of dangerous goods or waste products. The service will run three times a week; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from Contship Terminal to Munich and Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the opposite direction, with a transit time shorter than 48 hrs (A-B).

The new connection will offer another efficient intermodal opportunity for Contship RHM partners and customers that move goods to and from the Bavarian region, one of the most relevant markets in Europe.
