The Indian Trade string calling at Medcenter has successfully been re-tonnaged in just a few short weeks.
Now joining the earlier arrivals of previous maiden call ships in the Indian Trades (see articles on August 16th and September 12th), the further maiden calls of CMA CGM Amazon on August 29th and now the CMA CGM Thames on September 26th, 2016 mean that the Indian Trade string calling at Medcenter has successfully been re-tonnaged in just a few short weeks, with now all ships phased in, providing an un-interrupted weekly frequency.
The MCT team took everything in its stride with all ships arriving on time and being dispatched even ahead of schedule, thereby ensuring a safe and reliable network in support of global supply chains.
In photo is Capt. Niculae Claudiu GEORGESCU, a Romanian national, at the helm of the CMA CGM Thames, a 9,500 teu ship delivered to the French Headquartered global shipping line as recently as December 2015. Maria Rosa LOMBARDO from the Customer Service Department presented Capt. Georgescu with the MCT crest, recalling that CMA CGM ships had been operating in Medcenter for a number of years, as well as other Broström Tankers AB terminals. Also present was Capt. Giuseppe PATAMIA (Serport), as local agent.
